Sushi & Co Reviews

Eating here for years. Long enough where they know our drink order wo us asking. Food is great. Service is great. Have never had a bad meal.

Very fresh sushi and cozy ambiance. They could use 1-2 more people on staff when business gets busier. The sushi sashimi plate is what my family usually gets. One of the freshest tuna maki rolls I have had in Atlanta.

Food is always delicious, the sushi is fresh and it never disappoints. This is a hidden gem in Duluth, family owned and run.

This has been my favorite sushi restaurant for many years. I live farther away now so I can't come very often anymore. The food is still so fresh and you can tell it was made with love. I usually get sushi but today wanted to try something new and the poke bowl did not disappoint. The waitress was very nice. It was quiet for lunch. Amazing food as always, this is a very nice place to bring family and friends.

Nice quaint restaurant with the sweetest waitress! We ordered some sushi a la carte, one of which was ebi (sweet shrimp) and the waitress asked if we wanted to eat the heads! It was off menu and we had never tried it before. Ended up being delicious!!

Oh my goodness this is such an incredible place... very authentic Japanese cuisine. The food/sushi was fresh and delicious! The service was every bit as good. Sue was our server and was a gem and very helpful!

One of my absolute favorite sushi spot! Got nice music and atmosphere plus the server and chef (I think is the owner) are friendly to their guests! I usually get the tempura vegetables and shrimp set plus a random choice of rolls that I feel like. My family they love the tonkatsu don, the egg and fried pork combination are the best! Their sushi is fresh as well! Sometimes I'll look on their fb through the Asian Eat group to see what fresh seafood they imported from Japan that week!

Food: delicious! I recommend (in order) the monster roll, the nigiri set, and rainbow roll. Tuna roll in the set was so simple yet good. The waiter did recommend us the blue fin roll, which is fried; I personally didn't like it because it felt overwhelming. But that was my fault for saying I like fried rolls when I rarely get them haha. Price ain't that bad either!!! 3 rolls and a set cost $88. Portion size and quality were worth Service: nice, patient waiters. Gave us good recs. I also saw the owner talking to a customer about their family; so sweet how they personally know some of their customers. Ambiance: it gives a dim feel, but could be because it was rainy day. I wish it was brighter inside personally. Bathroom is clean tho
Sushi & Co
Walk into Sushi & Co any day of the week, and you’ll feel it instantly: this place buzzes with energy. Whether you're there for a quick lunch or a cozy dinner, the space is clean, intimate, and filled with the unmistakable scent of fresh fish and steaming miso soup. We’ve tried many sushi spots around Georgia, but there’s a reason this one stands out. The nigiri melts in your mouth, the maki rolls burst with creativity, and the sashimi is cut with precision—always thick, never dry. If you're in Duluth searching for sushi that hits the mark every time, this spot doesn’t just meet expectations, it exceeds them.
Exploring the menu – beyond the rolls
At first glance, the menu at Sushi & Co seems familiar: spicy tuna roll, salmon nigiri, California roll. But flip a few pages and you’ll find hidden gems that tell a bigger story. The Hot Night Roll is one of the most requested items, layering tempura shrimp with spicy tuna and jalapeño for a kick. The Omakase platter, if available, is a must—each item handpicked by the chef, showcasing the freshest cuts of the day. For those wanting more than sushi, the bento boxes are hearty and well-portioned, combining grilled proteins like teriyaki salmon with sides like tempura and pickled vegetables. One regular told us, “You can feel the care in how they plate everything—this isn’t fast food sushi, this is art on a tray.”
What locals say – reviews that speak volumes
Scroll through the reviews and you’ll see a pattern. Phrases like “the best sushi in Gwinnett”, “friendly staff,” and “high quality every single time” appear over and over. One reviewer even mentioned driving 30 minutes weekly just to grab their favorite eel avocado roll. Another noted that the team remembered their order after just two visits—a small touch that speaks to the hospitality and consistency of the place. It’s not just about the food; it’s about how you’re treated. Whether you’re picking up takeout or dining in with friends, service is warm, quick, and respectful of your time.
Location, accessibility, and what to expect when you visit
Tucked into a neat strip center on Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Sushi & Co is surprisingly easy to miss if you’re not looking for it—but those who’ve found it keep coming back. Parking is plentiful, and the interior is modern without being pretentious. It’s the kind of spot where college students rub shoulders with young professionals, and families gather around big tables filled with shared plates. You won’t need to dress up or wait for hours, but on weekends, a quick reservation or early arrival is smart. With both dine-in and takeout options, it’s adaptable to your plans. The place is perfect for a spontaneous sushi craving or a planned night out.
Why it matters – a place that gets sushi right
There’s something reassuring about finding a place that doesn’t cut corners. At Sushi & Co, the ingredients are consistently high-grade, the rice is always seasoned just right, and the fish is delivered fresh multiple times a week. Even the small details—like how the soy sauce is poured or the way they slice lemon for the sashimi—are done with thought. In a city brimming with food options, that kind of commitment is rare. It’s why Sushi & Co has become more than just a local eatery—it’s a weekly ritual, a trusted go-to, and a quiet staple of Duluth’s dining scene.
Simply the cleanest, freshest and best sushi you can get! They always make you feel at home and welcome and if you are looking for a place for a date - charming and a great deal of fun!
